Added market maker bot to BEER asset trading
The BEER token asset was the very first ever traded token on the stellar.org network when me and buhrmi were first doing experimental transaction with it with XLM funds given to us by Jed the founder of stellar.org. At that time there was no fancy trading software setup or any tools to play with to do much. I used code I wrote in ruby to setup trades with it at that time.
Buhrmi who was originally the only one to have ever traded BEER had the only BEER token in existence for the last few years. He has been poking me to setup trade of BEER tokens more as a joke in hopes that his BEER token would someday be worth lots of money. So finally on July 3 2018 I decided to get Buhrmi to stop pestering me by minting a case of BEER (24 beers tokens) that we can consider to be the first commodity tokens traded on the stellar.org network.
The BEER tokens are auto traded by our systems market maker bots at the value of 1 320mL can of Leo Beer that at present is valued at 40 Thailand baht with a 4% spread between buy and sell (much the same as FUNT). The bots are only setup to trade very small fractions of a BEER every 30 minute just to basically allow people to see the true value of beer verses XLM over time.
The agreement is that Funtracker.site Bank will deliver cans of Leo Beer in exchange for BEER tokens that will only be accepted in person at Pattaya Beach were we normally drink them in the evenings from around 6:00pm to 11:00pm on almost any night of the week. The present agreement of Funtracker.site is that we will not mint any more BEER tokens unless the board of directors of Funtracker.site bank decide to do so for any reason.
At present Funtracker.site Bank has no plans as to what to do with funds generated from BEER token sales. We think it's best usage is to generate publicity at this point that might benefit funtracker.site bank. If adequate funds are collected maybe we will just blow the money on a beer party at Pattaya Beach with a number of participants in the stellar.org project like Buhrmi in attendance. We don't expect BEER tokens to inflate to any large number as they are only exchangeable for cans of beer. But for any reason they become valuable as a collectors item or other is hard to say. We would like to wish those that collect them the best of luck. At the time this was written the last transaction of the BEER token traded for 6.15 XLM on July 4 2018 11:30am bkk.
